EWMS Baseball defeats Borden

Mason Lawson drove 4 runners home on two hits and stole three bases in EWMS's win over the visiting Borden Braves. EWMS took the lead, 7-2, in the bottom of the 2nd inning thanks to singles by Jayce Flagg, Lawson, and Wyatt Harting. They added to their lead in the 3rd inning when Anighus Hopper doubled down the right field line, and Hayden Farley singled to center field, each scoring one run. Drake Deremiah pitched two innings of scoreless ball for EWMS in relief. Deremiah surrendered one hit, striking out four, and walking none. EWMS had excellent defense and didn't commit a single error, with Blake Cress making six defensive plays. The team record is now 2-2.
